Coventry Peace House opened in January 1999. We were born out of the Coventry Peace Camp as a permanent resource for our city. We have a range of permenant and temporary projects depending on the energy, ideas and enthusiasm of people who are here at the time: hospitality and solidarity work with migrants and refugees; a bike workshop that does up second hand bikes and encourages cycling; a community space for meetings, community groups and exhibitions.
Although established, we are currently looking for new members. Criteria for membership involves commitment to working actively towards peace, practically considering environmental issues, and being involved with the support and fun co-operative living brings. It may involve becoming involved in a project or campaign already here that excites you or the chance to develop something new to us.
We are made up of six little houses painted bright yellow! We are fifteen minutes walk from the city centre in a vibrant multicultural area and have a nice big garden.
